Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information In-Right ("we", "us", "our"), operating in-right.com, collects when you use our website, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to in-right.com and our branded link redirector at go.in-right.com.

The short version

We use cookies and analytics (including Google and Microsoft) to run the site, measure performance, and show relevant advertising. We earn commissions from affiliate links. We never sell your personal information, and you can manage cookies or request access to or deletion of your data at any time. See our Cookie Policy and Affiliate Disclosure for details.

If you have questions about this policy or your data, please reach us through our contact page.

1. Who We Are & Scope

In-Right is an independent product-review and comparison publisher. We provide editorial reviews, "best of" guides, comparisons, and deals, and we earn affiliate commissions when you buy through some of our links. This policy covers information collected through in-right.com and the go.in-right.com link redirector. It does not cover third-party websites (including merchants) that you reach by clicking our links — those sites have their own privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Newsletter sign-ups: the email address you submit (processed via our form provider, Formspree) so we can send updates you request.
  • Contact messages: your name, email, and the contents of any message you send us.
  • Account details (optional): if you create an account, sign-in details managed by our authentication provider (Clerk), such as your name and email.

Information collected automatically:

  • Log & device data: IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps, collected via standard server logs and our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare).
  • Usage & analytics data: pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, approximate location (derived from IP), and similar interaction data, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see Sections 4–5).
  • Affiliate click data: when you click a branded go.in-right.com link, we record non-identifying click events (such as the destination merchant, timestamp, and referrer) to measure performance and detect fraud.

Information stored on your device: features such as your wishlist and theme preference are stored locally in your browser (local storage) and are not transmitted to us unless you choose to share them.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the website, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Measure and improve site performance, content, and user experience.
  • Send the newsletter and respond to your messages and requests.
  • Measure the performance of our content and affiliate links, and receive commission reporting from affiliate networks.
  • Show and measure relevant advertising, including remarketing, through Google and Microsoft (see Section 5).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies (including web beacons/pixels) for essential site functions, analytics, and advertising. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are used based on your consent where required, and you can manage your choices at any time through our cookie banner or your browser. For a full breakdown of the specific cookies we use and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

5. Analytics & Advertising

We work with the following analytics and advertising providers, who may set cookies or use identifiers to help us understand traffic and deliver and measure ads (including remarketing to people who have visited our site):

  • Google: Google Analytics, Google Ads, and related Google advertising services. Google's use of information is described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can control Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
  • Microsoft Advertising: the Microsoft (Bing) Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag for conversion measurement and remarketing. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

Your advertising choices: You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies via the DAA (AdChoices), the NAI, or, in Europe/UK, Your Online Choices. You can also manage or block cookies in your browser settings, and we honour recognized opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where legally required.

6. Affiliate Relationships

In-Right participates in affiliate programs, including through the Impact affiliate network. When you click certain links (including branded go.in-right.com links) and make a purchase or take an action, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects the price you pay. See our full Affiliate Disclosure.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers that operate the site on our behalf — for example Cloudflare (hosting/CDN/security), Sanity (content management), Formspree (form handling), OneSignal (optional push notifications), and Clerk (optional accounts) — under agreements that limit their use of the data.
  • Analytics and advertising partners (Google and Microsoft) as described in Section 5.
  • Affiliate networks and merchants to the extent needed to attribute clicks and commissions.
  • Legal and safety recipients where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

8. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (for non-essential cookies, analytics, advertising, and the newsletter); our legitimate interests (to run, secure, and improve the site and measure our content); and legal obligation where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to opt out of targeted advertising, "sales", or "sharing" of personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

  • EEA/UK (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information and targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money; some ad cookies may constitute "sharing" under California law, which you can control via the cookie banner and the opt-outs in Section 5.

To exercise any right, contact us via our contact page. We honour browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of targeted advertising where required by law.

10. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here — for example, newsletter data until you unsubscribe, and analytics/log data for a limited period — after which it is deleted or anonymized.

11. International Transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including HTTPS encryption and a strict Content Security Policy — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

13. Children's Privacy

Our website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Some content (for example, age-restricted products) is intended only for those 21 or older. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Third-Party Links

Our site links to merchants and other websites we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites; please review their own privacy policies.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.

16. Contact Us
