Pros
- It Labels the Fabric Accurately: Product pages and Amazon listings both say viscose made from bamboo rather than plain bamboo — the distinction US labelling rules actually require, and the one most sellers in this category quietly skip.
- A Large, Proven Product Record: The Amazon storefront shows a 4.5-star average across more than 100,000 customer ratings and over 100,000 orders in three months, with the flagship boxer brief at 4.6 from 6,622 ratings and ranked fourteenth in Men's Boxer Briefs.
- One Certification You Can Actually Check: Alongside the usual OEKO-TEX and FSC logos, the Organic Content Standard claim is independently verifiable — Bamboo Tech appears on Ecocert's public certificate register, which is more than a badge on a page.
Cons
- The homepage says 92% bamboo viscose but the best-selling seven-pack is 47% viscose from bamboo, 47% polyester and 6% spandex — the site splits stock into a Premium Bamboo rail and a Bamboo Blend rail, so read the composition on the product page rather than trusting the banner.
- Three different returns policies are live on the site at once, ranging from unused, unwashed and pre-authorised with the customer paying postage, through to wear it, wash it, no returns required — and no returns address is published anywhere. Email before sending anything back, and get the resolution confirmed in writing.
The Verdict
What sets Bamboo Cool apart is that it names the fibre correctly, which in this category is rarer than it should be: Product pages and Amazon listings alike say viscose made from bamboo rather than plain bamboo — the distinction US labelling rules require and the one most sellers gloss over. It is a small honesty that turns out to matter here, because composition varies a great deal by product. The site separates a Premium Bamboo rail at 92% viscose from bamboo with 8% spandex from a second Bamboo Blend rail, and the best-selling seven-pack of men's boxer briefs sits in that second group at 47% viscose from bamboo, 47% polyester and 6% spandex — under half bamboo, despite a homepage banner reading Made from 92% Bamboo Viscose. Read the product page, not the banner. Everything sells in packs and is priced accordingly: men's boxer brief seven-packs at $56.94 to $59.99, a no-ride trunk four-pack at $42.99, crewneck undershirt six-packs at $69.99, women's high-waist briefs five-packs at $36.74, hipster panties five-packs at $27.29 and girls' six-packs at $30.44, working out at roughly $5.45 to $13.40 a pair. Men's sizes run S through 3XL against a published waist chart, women's S through 2XL. Shipping is free over $49, dispatch is quoted at one to two business days and delivery at three to seven, carried by Amazon Fulfillment, USPS, UPS or UniUni. The product record is substantial: the Amazon storefront shows a 4.5-star average across more than 100,000 ratings, with the flagship brief at 4.6 from 6,622 and ranked fourteenth in its category. Two reservations, and both are about the storefront rather than the garments. First, returns. Three separate policies are live at the same time — one requiring items unused, unwashed, in original packaging and pre-authorised with the customer paying postage; one saying intimate apparel generally need not be sent back at all; and a product-page block reading wear it, wash it, live in it, no questions asked, no returns required. One clause excludes discounted items and hygiene-related products, in a store where every product carries a discount badge and everything sold is intimate apparel. No returns address is published and the only contact is an email address. In practice the brand appears to run the generous keep-the-item model, but get any resolution confirmed in writing. Second, evidence: the direct site has no Trustpilot reviews at all and no Better Business Bureau file, and its domain was registered only in February 2025, although the operating company is older. The garments are well evidenced on Amazon; the shop is new. Made for US shoppers who want soft bamboo-viscose basics in packs, as it ships within the United States only. Read the composition on each product page and shop now.
Bamboo-Viscose Underwear and Loungewear, Sold in Packs
Bamboo Cool sells bamboo-viscose underwear and loungewear for men, women and children. The operating entity named in its privacy policy is Bamboo Tech Pty Ltd, 9/173 Rooks Road, Vermont VIC 3133, Australia, which appears on the Australian Business Register under ABN 39 658 908 260 and has been active since April 2022; the affiliate programme runs under a Hong Kong arm of the same group, and the FAQ confirms the company is headquartered in Australia. No US address and no phone number appear on the contact page — the only telephone number anywhere is an Australian mobile in the privacy policy — and no returns address is published at all. One point of confusion worth clearing up: this is not the same company as the similarly named bamboocool.com, which is a San Diego bamboo sock seller trading as Bamboo Sports. The range covers men's boxer briefs, boxer shorts, briefs and trunks, loungewear and T-shirts, women's briefs, boyshorts and hipsters, and girls' briefs. It does not sell socks.
Fibre content is the thing to check, because it varies by product rather than by brand. The homepage banner reads Made from 92% Bamboo Viscose, and the Premium Bamboo rail does deliver exactly that — 92% viscose made from bamboo with 8% spandex, as on the women's high-waist briefs. But the site's best-selling men's seven-pack at $56.99 states 47% viscose made from bamboo, 47% polyester and 6% spandex, on both its own page and its Amazon listing. The store separates stock into Premium Bamboo and Bamboo Blend collections precisely because of this, so composition has to be read item by item. On labelling itself the brand is better than most of its category: it consistently writes viscose made from bamboo and Viscose from Bamboo rather than the bare word bamboo, which is what US labelling rules require. Certification claims cover OEKO-TEX Standard 100, FSC, BSCI and WRAP, all presented as logos with no certificate numbers or dates attached; the Organic Content Standard claim is the one that can be independently checked, with Bamboo Tech appearing on Ecocert's public certificate register.
Everything sells in packs. On the men's side: a days-of-the-week boxer brief seven-pack at $56.94, the flagship seven-pack at $56.99, ultra-soft seven-packs at $59.99, a no-ride trunk four-pack at $42.99, a mesh-vent trunk four-pack at $45.99, crewneck undershirt six-packs at $69.99 and T-shirt three-packs from $42.99. On the women's: high-waist briefs five-pack at $36.74, boyshorts five-packs at $34.64 and $38.99, a seamless mid-waist five-pack at $36.99 and hipster panties five-pack at $27.29. Girls' lightweight briefs come as a six-pack at $30.44. Effective cost works out at roughly $5.45 to $13.40 a pair. Every listing shows a struck-through price with a discount badge in the 4% to 16% range, a pattern that appears permanent rather than seasonal. Men's sizes run S through 3XL against a published waist chart — S at 28 to 30 inches through 3XL at 48 to 50 — and women's S through 2XL, though the charts are published as images rather than text. Shipping is free on orders over $49, dispatch is quoted at one to two business days, delivery at three to seven, and up to fourteen for Alaska, Hawaii and US territories, carried by Amazon Fulfillment, USPS, UPS or UniUni. The store ships within the United States only; Canada and the rest of the world are not served.
Returns are the weak point, and the weakness is inconsistency rather than severity. Three separate policies are live at once. The Shopify policy page gives 30 days from receipt, requires items unused, unwashed and in original packaging, makes the customer pay return postage for change-of-mind returns, excludes discounted items and hygiene-related products, and warns that anything returned without prior authorisation may be neither refunded nor sent back. The page the footer actually links to says close to the opposite: because the products are intimate apparel, approved returns generally do not require sending anything back, with a 30-day first-pair guarantee offering a replacement size, style or gift card. A product-page block goes further still, promising you can wear it, wash it and live in it with no questions asked and no returns required. No returns address is published and the sole contact is an email address. On the independent record there is a sharp split worth understanding: the direct storefront has no Trustpilot reviews whatsoever and no Better Business Bureau file, and its domain was registered only in February 2025, well after the company itself. The Amazon side is the opposite — a 4.5-star brand average across more than 100,000 ratings, over 100,000 orders in three months, and the flagship brief at 4.6 from 6,622 ratings, ranked fourteenth in Men's Boxer Briefs. The garments are well evidenced; the shop is new. Made for US shoppers who want bamboo-viscose basics: check the composition on the product page, confirm any return by email, and shop now.

About this review
How this was written, who paid for what, and how the verdict stays independent.
Is this Bamboo Cool review sponsored?
No. Bamboo Cool did not pay for this write-up, see it before publication, or have any say in the verdict. If we earn anything it is a commission after you buy, and it comes out of the merchant’s margin rather than your price.
How was the Bamboo Cool assessed?
By using it and by checking the claims made about it against what it actually does. Where our time with something has been limited, the review says so rather than implying more testing than happened.
What else have you reviewed in Style & Fashion?
