Pros

  • A Free Tier That Is Not a Demo: Twenty-six widgets and sections are available at no cost and with no time limit, which is enough to test whether the approach suits your store before any card is charged.
  • Depth That Few Theme Vendors Match: The top tier carries 145 widgets and sections — upsells, trust badges, sticky carts, countdowns and the rest — built into the theme rather than bolted on as separate apps each taking their own monthly fee.
  • Priced Below the App-Stack Alternative: Growth is listed at $15.60 a month and Professional at $35.60 against list prices of $39 and $89, and a one-time Lifetime licence at $399 replaces the subscription entirely.

Cons

  • Subscription fees are explicitly non-refundable — the policy states so in as many words, and the only refund routes are 30 days for an overcharge and 60 days for a double charge, both billing-error remedies rather than a satisfaction guarantee. The Lifetime plan is final on purchase. Use the free tier to decide, not the trial.
  • The three-day trial requires a card, converts automatically, and no self-serve cancellation path is published anywhere on the site — and Debutify states that uninstalling the app does not cancel billing. If you start a trial, email support for written confirmation of how to cancel before the third day, and diarise it.

The Verdict

What sets Debutify apart is that its free tier is a working product rather than a demo: Twenty-six widgets and sections are available at no cost with no time limit, which is enough for deciding whether this approach fits your store. Above that, the proposition is depth: 145 widgets and sections at the top tier, covering upsells, trust badges, sticky carts, countdown timers and the rest, built into the theme rather than assembled from a stack of separate Shopify apps each charging its own monthly fee. Growth is listed at $15.60 a month against a $39 list price and carries 55 widgets; Professional at $35.60 against $89 carries 96 and adds an SEO checker and member permissions; Enterprise at $63.60 against $159 unlocks all 145; and a one-time Lifetime licence at $399 against $999 removes the subscription altogether. Debutify Reviews is priced separately inside Shopify at $19 or $39 a month. Two structural things to know before you weigh it up. The theme installs directly from debutify.com rather than through the official Shopify Theme Store, which means it has not been through Shopify's own theme review — the OS 2.0 compatibility claim is the vendor's. And the displayed prices are promotional against much higher list prices, with the monthly and annual toggle rendering identical figures and the discount labelled as both 40% and 60% on the same page, so treat the headline rate as an offer rather than a standing one. The refund position is the part that belongs in the open, and it is unusually firm. The policy is headed Hassle-Free Guarantee, but its contents state that all subscription fees are non-refundable, that Lifetime purchases are final with no refunds, cancellations or chargebacks permitted, and that by completing a purchase you waive any right to a refund once access is granted. The only remedies are 30 days for an overcharge and 60 days for a double charge. It also reserves the right to refuse a refund where a customer has made public posts against the company, and warns that initiating a chargeback may result in immediate termination of access. Alongside that, the three-day trial requires a card and converts automatically, no self-serve cancellation route is published, and the company states plainly that uninstalling the app does not stop the billing. Trustpilot shows 4.4 out of 5 from 9,618 reviews, but only 33 of those arrived in the past twelve months and Trustpilot itself flags that the company has not invited reviews recently — that score is a legacy figure, not a current one. Made for Shopify merchants who would rather not stack separate apps: upsells, trust badges and sticky carts live inside the theme. The free tier has no time limit, so start there, get the cancellation method in writing before any paid trial, and explore now.

A Shopify Theme With 145 Conversion Widgets Built In

Debutify sells a direct-download Shopify theme bundled with a suite of conversion widgets, rather than a single product. The current lineup covers the Debutify Theme, an AI Store Builder still marked beta, Debutify Reviews, Theme Sections, PredictaMail and Syngulr, plus a set of free apps — though the company's own refund policy contradicts its homepage by stating that Debutify offers two products. The legal entity is Debutify Inc., with an address published in the terms of use at 5165 Queen Mary Rd, Unit 171, Montreal, Quebec H3W 1X7, Canada; governing law is Quebec and Canada, with disputes going to mediation and then Quebec courts. A second, different corporate address appears on its Trustpilot profile in Syracuse, New York. The theme is not listed in the official Shopify Theme Store and installs from the company's own site, so it has not passed Shopify's theme review process.

Pricing is publicly visible without a login. Free gives 26 widgets and sections at no cost. Growth is displayed at $15.60 a month against a $39 list price and adds 29 exclusive widgets for 55 in total, plus the agentic AI Store Builder and basic support. Professional is displayed at $35.60 against $89, adding 70 exclusive widgets for 96 in total along with an SEO checker, theme templates and member permissions. Enterprise is displayed at $63.60 against $159 and unlocks all 145 widgets with development support, unlimited members and priority support. A Lifetime licence is $399 one-time against a $999 list price and includes all 145 with automatic updates. Debutify Reviews is billed separately through Shopify at $19 a month or $171 a year for Growth, and $39 or $351 for Pro. The pricing page renders the same figures for its monthly and annual toggle and labels the discount as both 40% and 60%, so per-tier annual rates cannot be verified from it.

The trial and billing mechanics need care. The pricing page offers a three-day free trial on Growth, Professional and Enterprise, while the refund policy describes the theme trial without stating a length at all and gives Debutify Reviews a 30-day trial — the two pages disagree. A valid credit card is required to start, and the company states that if the trial is not cancelled before it ends the customer is automatically subscribed and charged. Subscriptions renew automatically and are billed in advance at the start of each period. No self-serve cancellation path is published anywhere on the site, and the refund policy carries an explicit warning that uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription — you have to cancel before uninstalling. Public complaints exist on this point: a Shopify Community thread from an annual subscriber describes asking how to cancel and being unable to get an answer.

The refund policy is titled Hassle-Free Guarantee and is, in substance, a no-refund policy. It states that all subscription fees are non-refundable; that Lifetime purchases are final, with no refunds, cancellations or chargebacks permitted after completion; and that by completing a purchase the customer waives any right to a refund once access has been granted. The two exceptions are both billing errors rather than dissatisfaction: 30 days to claim an overcharge, 60 days to claim a double charge. Refunds do not extend to upgrades, modifications or renewals, and PayPal payments are excluded from reimbursement entirely. The policy further reserves the right to refuse a refund where a customer has made public posts against the company or used offensive language toward its representatives, and warns that initiating a chargeback may result in immediate suspension or termination of access. Older third-party write-ups still cite a 30-day money-back guarantee; the current published policy does not offer one. On the independent record, Trustpilot shows 4.4 out of 5 from 9,618 reviews with 89% at five stars, but only 33 reviews arrived in the past twelve months and Trustpilot flags that the company has not been inviting reviews — a legacy score rather than a current reading. Capterra shows 4.5 from 157 reviews, G2 4.6 from 22, and the Shopify App Store listing for Debutify Reviews 3.7 from just 12. It suits Shopify merchants who want conversion widgets inside the theme and are happy to decide on the free tier first; start there and explore now.

About this review

How this was written, who paid for what, and how the verdict stays independent.

Is this Debutify review sponsored?

No. Debutify did not pay for this write-up, see it before publication, or have any say in the verdict. If we earn anything it is a commission after you buy, and it comes out of the merchant’s margin rather than your price.

How was the Debutify assessed?

By using it and by checking the claims made about it against what it actually does. Where our time with something has been limited, the review says so rather than implying more testing than happened.

What else have you reviewed in Software & Utilities?

Everything in Software & Utilities sits in the review library, where you can filter by budget and sort by rating, price or how recently it landed.

Do you update reviews after publishing?

Yes — when a product changes, when a price moves for good, or when we get something wrong. Corrections are made on the piece itself with a note saying what changed.
